Entry audience: expected 11:30
Where: Stuttgart, Haus11 Zuffenhausen
Categories are
• 15x Solo
• 10x Duo
• 10x Kleingruppe (Small group, 3-4 people)
• 10x Großgruppe (big group, 5+ people, we recommend no more than 8).
Only one registration per category - a maximum participation in two categories.
Anyone who placed in the top three at KBlast 2024 is excluded from participating in that same category this year; for groups, at least 50% of the members must not have previously placed in that category to be eligible to compete again.
Rookie stage category (5 acts) - here you will perform “out of competition”: you may get feedback from the judges but you won’t be ranked/win in this category. Participation is for dancers with little to no stage experience. If you choose to participate, you will automatically be excluded from all other categories.
Participation is open to everyone starting from age 14 and up. Participants are drawn randomly; a waiting list is then drawn as well.
Participation fees:
• Regular: 10 Euro per person
• Rookie Stage: 7 Euro per person
The stage is approximately 3.5 by 6 m big. There will be rooms to warm up and prepare, but these are limited.
Performance:
The duration of the performance must be between 2 and 4 minutes, solo between 2 and 3 minutes (a difference of +/- 10 sec is allowed). Songs have to be covered with their original choreography (there is a dance practice/good live stage; you will need to provide a YouTube link if you are accepted). Small changes due to formations or acrobatics (splits, etc.) are allowed.
“Special Choreographies” as special stages like cover, Year End or Award Shows are allowed as long as a clear video AND a clean audio file can be found. “Western” songs used in K-Pop Media (e.g. Studio Choom Artist of the Month) are not allowed.
All K-pop songs, as well as english and japanese releases, that are being promoted in Korea in the style of KPop (e.g. XG, Katseye) are allowed; as long as there is a dance practice/stage.
Mash-ups are allowed - containing up to 3 songs, no longer than 4 minutes total.
Songs may be used once as a whole song and twice in a mash-up.
When choosing song(s) and planning your performance avoid any content that could be harmful to minors. (Keep it youth friendly :) )
